Established in 2001, Roshana Care Group has been at the forefront of providing Aged Care and Mental Health Care for over 20 years, with a commitment to high standards.About the RoleIn collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the Physiotherapist supports residents to maintain optimal functional abilities to maximize independence and quality of life.The functions of this position include the delivery of quality interventions with residents, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating physiotherapy treatments and programs for individual residents in the following core areas of professional practice:MobilityFall and Injury Risk ManagementChronic Disease ManagementPain ManagementDuties and Responsibilities:Supports a multi-disciplinary team approach that prioritizes the physical and emotional wellbeing of individual residents across the facility.
This includes contributing to case conferences.Provides leadership, guidance and clinical supervision to the Lifestyle Coordinator and Therapy and Leisure Partners, ensuring needs of the resident are met in accordance with their care plans, including therapeutic objectives.Ensures appropriate equipment is available for use by allied health staff and contributes to the development of the yearly Physiotherapy budget, in consultation with the Manager Residential Care.Completes comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and regular reviews to identify residents' physical, social and emotional needs.Actively builds trusting relationships with individual residents that are based on dignity and respect to optimise cooperation, communicating in a manner that is appropriate to each individual's strengths and limitations.Essential Skills, Attributes and ExperienceBachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) degree.Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.Experience in residential and community-based assessment and rehabilitation including equipment prescription.Must hold a Current National Police Clearance.Demonstrated excellence in the delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.An understanding and appreciation of contemporary Physiotherapy practice and issues in aged care.An ability to relate to older people with empathy, understanding and affording dignity and respect.Knowledge of Aged Care standards.Professional written and verbal communication skills.An ability to collaborate, negotiate and contribute toward multi-disciplinary team approach to care planning and delivery.Demonstrated ability to complete busy workload and respond to changing priorities.Effective use of a healthcare IT system.Culture and Benefits:A competitive industry salary package commensurate with skills and experience.On the job training and development opportunities available.Access to Roshana Care Group Employee Assistance Program.Roshana Care Group respects and embraces diverse perspective, experience, and traditions.Roshana care Group values each employee's contribution towards achieving its business objectives.Our culture of compassion, respect, communication, teamwork and integrity not only supports the development of staff, but also ensures the wellbeing of all employees.How To Apply?
