Job Role
The Project Manager oversees the engineering team to deliver projects efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
Developing organizational structures for engineering staff;
Ensuring technical aspects of contract reviews are accurate;
Providing clear instructions to engineers through project documentation and procedures;
Managing the validation, maintenance, and issue tracking of project equipment lists and key documents;
Facilitating effective interdisciplinary coordination through regular meetings;
Making necessary technical decisions in case of unresolved conflicts between disciplines;
Supervising the creation and approval of engineering deliverables and key documents;
Contribution to project planning definition by providing milestones and requirements for engineering tasks;
Ensuring engineering activities align with project deadlines;
Informing project management of unforeseen variations and suggesting mitigation strategies;
Ensuring effective technical collaboration with client representatives and maintaining open communication.
Requirements
Collating engineering budgets based on discipline department allocations and controlling expenses during the project course;
Processing, collecting, and consolidating variation requests and change orders;
Participating in risk management for engineering concerns;
Promoting value engineering and best practices;
Preparing and archiving the final engineering dossier and identifying lessons learned.
Key Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate should have strong project management and engineering experience, excellent communication, and leadership skills, along with proficiency in relevant software and tools.
