The Role
The Justice Support Worker provides culturally responsive support, advocacy, and practical assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members who are either at risk of, or currently engaged with, the justice system.
The role aims to promote equitable outcomes, dismantle systemic barriers, and foster independence and self-determination.
It seeks to empower Aboriginal people to live strong, respectful, independent, and healthy lives, while also contributing to long-term strategies addressing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal people in the justice system.
