Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Application DBA / Oracle Developer / Designer to join our team.
This role is primarily focused on optimising PL/SQL and SQL performance, ensuring stable, efficient database operations, and supporting business-critical applications.Key Responsibilities:Optimise PL/SQL, SQL queries, and scripts to enhance performance and reliability.Analyse existing packaged procedures and design/develop new database objects.Apply expertise in execution plan stability, SQL profiles, and hints to ensure efficient query performance across large data volumes.Troubleshoot and resolve application-specific database issues, ensuring system stability and availability.Collaborate with developers, designers, and architects to deliver scalable, high-performing database solutions.Mandatory Requirements:Proven experience as an Application DBA / Oracle Developer / Designer.Strong expertise in PL/SQL programming and SQL tuning/optimisation.Hands-on knowledge of execution plans, profiles, and hints for query stability.Demonstrated ability in analysing, optimising, and troubleshooting packaged procedures.Experience with high-volume data processing and ensuring performance under load.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application database issues.Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):Exposure to performance monitoring tools (e.g., AWR, ASH, OEM).
