**General Commercial lawyers needed**

We have had a consistent influx of roles seeking general commercial lawyers in Brisbane. **Skills and Experience needed**:

- 4+ years' experience
- General commercial contracting experience is essential and we are happy to consider exposure to a wide range of industries including: financial services (banking and funds management); consumer, food and retail; energy and resources; government and public sector; construction and infrastructure; education; hotels, leisure and gaming; mining and TMT and transport
- Relevant experience might include experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers and service providers, in areas such as property, technology, privacy and data, intellectual property, credit, and financing
- M&A experience can be helpful, particularly involvement in the integration of new companies/businesses into existing corporate structures, as well as joint venture experience
- Procurement experience is highly sought after
- Being comfortable providing legal advice relating to competition and consumer law, privacy, product safety, quality and labelling is an advantage for some roles
- For some roles experience in disputes and Investigations eg. litigation, disputes, insolvency/debt recovery, regulatory investigations can also be of use, as well knowledge of employment law
- You must have the ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise
- Our clients are looking for lawyers who are happy to be a doer and confident being on the tools, and have the ability to understand and adapt to the needs of a business

As well as excellent legal experience you will need:

- Senior stakeholder management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships externally and internally
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- An excellent client service focus, ethic and commitment
- The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate
- Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Independent Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
