**About the role**
- Orica's Emerging FutureShaper Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a global organisation leading the way in digital innovation across the mining and infrastructure industries.
- Join us as a **UX/UI Design Summer Intern** at **Orica** in our **Kurri Kurri office**, and work on meaningful digital products used by industries across the globe. This is your chance to learn, design, and contribute to tools that actually make an impact, alongside a supportive team that's excited to help you grow.

**What you will be doing**
- Supporting the UX/UI team in the development of user-centric digital solutions
- Creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools such as Figma or similar platforms
- Participating in user research and usability testing activities
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of design system components
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and engineers

**What you will bring**
- Currently studying a degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related discipline
- A strong interest in UX/UI design and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Foundational skills in Figma or similar design tools (university coursework or personal projects are welcome)
- Curiosity and empathy: you're interested in how people use products and how to make them better
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
