**About the Role**
- Are you ready to take the lead in driving cost control excellence within the Project Services function of a dynamic organisation? We're seeking a collaborative, results-oriented Cost Control Team Leader to join our team.

This is a great opportunity to not only see your work have a direct impact on overall program and project outcomes, but also one to guide and mentor your team, shaping future cost control capability.

As the Cost Control Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and delivery of one of our major capital programs. Your responsibilities will include:

- ** Budget Development**:Facilitate the annual capital budget process and deliver the bottom-up build from point of scope and schedule to final presentations to senior management;
- ** Budget Management**: monitor and control developed budgets, ensuring adherence to financial thresholds and targets;
- ** Controls**: maintain and continuously improve key cost controls and procedures including earned value management, estimate to complete (ETC) and estimate at completion (EAC) analysis, internal process audits, accruals, and commitment reviews;
- ** Stakeholder Management**:ensure key stakeholder groups are collaborated with, kept informed and serviced;
- ** Compliance**: ensure compliance with Joint Venture operating agreements in terms of Authority for Expenditure limits, budget control points and the Authority for Supplementary Expenditure process;
- ** Change & Trend Management**:oversee and drive the internal change and trend management process ensuring that scope, schedule, and cost changes are appropriately accounted for;
- ** Vendor Management**: oversee the recognition, accounting, and processing of major contractor claims;
- ** Assurance**: deliver integrated capital cost planning and inputs across the full project life cycle to support decision making and successful project outcomes;
- ** Resource Allocation**: plan and allocate resources effectively across the portfolio, ensuring alignment to stakeholder requirements and objectives;
- ** Data Management**: manage schedule, capital, and execution data in line with approved cost, operating and work breakdown structures to enable direct comparability across the Onshore Upstream portfolio;
- Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS);
- Compliance with the Santos Delegation of Authority (DOA);
- Compliance with the Santos Corporate Governance and Safety requirements.

**About You**
- In terms of experience, we're seeking an individual that possesses the following:

- Bachelor's degree in commerce, engineering, construction management or a related field;
- 7+ years' Project Controls / Services experience across major capital programs or projects;
- Experience in the oil and gas (or other major resource) industry in leadership roles;
- Direct responsibility for managing budgets of more than A$500m;
- Proficiency in the use of large project-based systems (PRISM and SAP highly regarded);
- Proficiency in the use of visualisation software (e.g., TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI) and Microsoft Office software;
