**We are seeking instrumental music tutors in the areas of Brass, Woodwind, Strings and Percussion instruments to work with us in developing our instrumental music program.**

Lighthouse Christian College is a fast-growing co-educational ELC to Year 12 School situated in Keysborough.

Our purpose is to represent the Lord Jesus Christ to our community. Students, staff and families align with our Christ-centered values. Founded in 1989 by Lighthouse Christian Church to teach, train and disciple godly generations to impact their world, the College has earned a reputation of being the Christian choice for excellence in education.

**ABOUT THE ROLES**

These are casual roles with flexibility in the day of the week you would teach at the school.

As an instrumental tutor at the school, you will be integral in helping us build our Music Department and increase the musical opportunities we can offer our students. This would mostly be through individual instrumental tuition and some small group lessons.

Longer term, some ensemble direction of your students and those learning outside the school may also be involved.

There is also a need for Brass, Woodwind and Percussion tutors to be involved in teaching at Year 5 as part of our new Concert Band curriculum. These teachers would be required for part of the day to undertake class tutorials (6-8 students), with opportunities to combine this with individual instrumental tuition.

**ABOUT YOU**

The following are the key selection criteria for this role:

- Highly skilled on one or more instruments
- A graduate degree on their chosen instrument or be studying in this area (preferred)
- Experience in teaching instruments to Primary/Secondary children
- Have good organisational and interpersonal skills
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Active involvement in a Christian church
- Calm, friendly, and pleasant demeanor,
