Director of Litigation Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned lawyer to lead our litigation team and contribute to important work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on statutory responsibilities and service deliverables
Lead and manage the litigation team, fostering a positive culture and understanding individual roles in business outcomes
Prepare, instruct and appear in disciplinary applications, prosecution of summary offences, injunction applications and other enforcement action
Review, develop and drive complex legislative and policy change designed to enhance undertaking of statutory obligations
Proactively monitor and improve policies, procedures, work practice and management systems
Requirements:
Be admitted as an Australian lawyer and eligible to obtain a practising certificate in Queensland
Abide by the Australian Solicitor Conduct Rules and display high standards of professional ethical conduct
Travel within Queensland for Court or Tribunal hearings, with a current driver licence required for appearances outside the Brisbane CBD
