**What success looks like in this role**:
Role - Cyber Security Analyst/Associate

Experience - 1 to 3 years

Work Location**:Primary location is Melbourne. Open to other locations within Australia as well.

**Must be an Australian Citizen. Having a NV1/NV2 clearance **or the ability to achieve it,** **would be a plus***

**Position Summary -**

As an entry level cyber security associate, evaluate, test, recommend, develop, coordinate, monitor and maintains cyber security systems, policies and procedures, including management of Cyber security products. (Hardware, firmware and software)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensures that SOC and cybersecurity architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards, and overall IS and cybersecurity.
- Identifies security risks and exposures determine the causes of security violations and suggest procedures to halt future incidents and improve security

**You will be successful in this role if you have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science. Basic CCNA/CCISP certifications a plus, not mandatory
- Understanding of Information Security & networking principles
- Experienced with SIEM and vulnerability management concepts, with capability of reading firewall logs
- Some previous SOC/network experience will be a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of:

- SIEM management systems.
- Vulnerability management systems.
- Internal and client ticketing and Knowledge Base Systems for Incident and Problem tracking as well as procedures (i.e. ServiceNow)
- Various SIEM security products such as: ArcSight, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, etc.
- Antivirus tools like Symantec Microsoft Defender, Cloud Strike Falcon etc.
- Security and/or Networking familiarity in:

- Basic networking fundamentals and routing principles.
- Well known protocols and services (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, LDAP)
- Command-line interfaces.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues; excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ideal role for someone with a good pleasing personality and attitude. Someone who is easily moldable and open to learning and absorb knowledge
