
El1 Assistant Director Clinical Outreach And Groups

**Chandler Macleod are seeking a EL1 Assistant Director Clinical Outreach and Groups for a temporary 12 month assignment (possible extension). This position is conveniently located in ELIZABETH, SA and on a Monday to Friday roster**.
- Work in collaboration with the Regional Leadership Team to oversee the provision of quality clinical services by external providers and the implementation and delivery of relevant treatment and psychoeducational groups and workshops to the clients and stakeholders of Open Arms in the region and be responsible for the following activities; _
- Provide advice to the Regional Director on service delivery opportunities, and requirements within the local jurisdiction to enhance client outcomes and to ensure effective service delivery. Collaborate with the regional clinical leadership team to mitigate risk to client safety, and to enhance client access to quality evidence-based treatment and support services.
- Provide clinical leadership in regional delivery of Open Arms programs and services, including the treatment and psychoeducational group suite of programs and the clinical outreach program to ensure Open Arms clients can access relevant services. Develop and maintain partnerships with service providers contracted to Open Arms to increase service delivery capacity and to ensure clinical governance standards and practices are maintained.
- Undertake Quality Assurance activities, which may include audits, case file reviews, risk reviews, and contract compliance reviews to ensure clinical governance is upheld for the work undertaken by Outreach Program Counsellors providing services across the region. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the policies and procedures related to the Open Arms Outreach Counsellor Program and oversee the implementation of related contract management practices at the local level.
In accordance with organisational goals and identified regional demand, ensure a program of treatment and psychoeducational groups and workshops are developed, promoted, and delivered to targeted populations and areas to achieve maximum client and stakeholder access. This will include;
- Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders including Defence and ex-service organisations;
- Providing strategic regional input to the Open Arms National Director Clinical Programs and Open Arms Communications teams;
- Collaborating in relevant research activities and trials and identifying new evidence-based program initiatives to support emerging client needs.
Undertake line management responsibilities for staff including Outreach Program Coordinators and Group Program Coordinators within the region, and be responsible for the recruitment, selection, induction, supervision, and performance management of clinical employees to ensure their ability to meet service delivery requirements:
- Provide support and direction to the Group Program Coordinator/s in the region and ensure that suitable group programs are available to meet regional client demand and are delivered in accordance with agreed Open Arms group program standards;
- Provide support and direction to the Outreach Program Coordinator/s in the region, and ensure Outreach Program Counsellors are provided with relevant training, support, and direction to maintain a high level of service provision to Open Arms providers and clients;
- Facilitate a professional development program for the clinical staff based on the needs of Open Arms business priorities and in accordance with identified professional development requirements;
- Ensure all individual clinical staff are meeting their workload requirements and are maintaining active professional development and regular professional supervision; and
In collaboration with the Regional Clinical Practice Manager, oversee the activities the Group Executive Officers and the Outreach Executive Officers who work alongside the clinical staff in the Groups and Outreach Programs team. Identify and support professional development needs of these support staff and liaise with the Regional Clinical Practice Manager as necessary with regards to their duties or performance.
As a member of the regional leadership group, contribute to the National Management Team, and act for the Regional Director as required;
- Support the Regional Director to maintain strategic alliances with other business areas of the Department of Veterans' Affairs, Defence, ex-service organisations, government agencies and other service providers through regular reporting, negotiation, liaison and joint service delivery;
- Maintain a small clinical workload of complex clients as negotiated with the Regional Director;
