Senior Procurement Specialist

Overview Our client, a leading civil construction company, is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team in the Ryde & Macquarie Park area.
You will provide advice and recommendations to senior management, develop procurement processes, and help bring their processes to the next phase.
Salary & Benefits Salary up to $160k + super (depending on experience) Responsibilities Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on procurement strategiesEngage with key business stakeholders to facilitate and promote procurement activitiesDevelop and implement procurement processes as per organisational needsMaintain the principles of procurement probityAssess the requirement for formal contracts with major suppliersReview spend reporting and market engagement opportunities to drive cost reductionsDevelop strong supplier relationships to support organisational objectivesLead Modern Slavery compliance activitiesPromote a positive working relationship with coworkers, suppliers, and partners About You Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field) and Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain ManagementMinimum of 8 years in a procurement or supply chain roleHigh level of commercial acumen with a strategic mindsetExperience in business process improvement and change managementExcellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbalPrevious experience working across different cultures and maintaining key relationshipsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills Additional Details Location: Ryde & Macquarie Park area, SydneyWorkplace Type: HybridExperience Level: Mid ManagementIndustry: Purchasing and ProcurementContract Type: PermanentAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.To apply, please click "apply" or contact Stuart Jeltsema on or for a confidential discussion.
