**The Opportunity**:
This is an opportunity for you to develop your skills with Australia's premier marine and dredging contractor. As a
**Workboat Operator**, you will be responsible for operating the vessel and working in coordination with the Dredge Operator to monitor dredge pipes and anchors. This role will initially focus on a project in
**Warrnambool** (until mid December approx.), and then will become a long term opportunity on projects across the
**Shire of Mornington Peninsula and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Constant monitoring and operation of vessel controls to ensure optimal operation.
- Direct and assist others in placing/moving anchors and floating pipeline.
- Maintain vessel availability to meet or exceed planned efficiency goals.
- Operate in a safe manner, adhering to company OH&S policies.
- The ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines are paramount in this role.

**About You**:

- Prior experience as a Workboat Operator operating commercial vessels on marine projects.
- Have obtained at least a Coxswain certificate.
- A positive can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
- Must be willing to assist in general duties of Marine and dredging projects in accordance with OHS regulations
- You are safety-minded and able to follow instructions
- You hold or are willing to obtain an Elements of Shipboard Safety Certificate and First Aid Certificate
- Any relevant Marine qualifications will be considered and looked at favorably
