THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Truck Driver with a MR, HR or HC Licence to join our team, in a full-time role, based out of Dandenong South, VIC.
This role places a strong focus on contributing to our vision of being fast, flexible and frequent and incorporates the following essential tasks:
Transport finished goods via road, to and from the Woodhouse warehouse to retail outlets and distribution centres;
Plan routes to meet delivery schedules in the most efficient and effective way;
Proactively inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues; and
Ensure compliance with work health and safety laws, regulations and codes of conduct.
Be a brand ambassador, present yourself in a professional manner, take pride in efficient, on-time delivery, and delivery of exceptional and positive customer service;
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures;
Possess a full understanding, &support chain of Responsibility & custody processes;
Collect and verify delivery instructions;
Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions;
Report defects, accidents or violations; and
Keep commercial driver\'s license up to date.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Hold a valid Medium Rigid (MR), Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) Licence;
Be enthusiastic about driving and have a good & safe driving record with a minimum of 2 years experience driving a heavy vehicle;
Knowledge of the Sydney metro area;
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly;
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving and road rules and regulations;
Adaptability and foresight to manage unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) to meet delivery deadlines;
