About the role
The primary role of the Café Team Leader is to provide supervision of Cornerstone Café and assist the Café Manager in the day-to-day operations of the venue. The Café Team Leader is to ensure operational excellence and exceptional customer service standards from the wider team. It is a role that requires an individual who is committed to providing a high standard of work and is able to work both individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities include
- Lead and develop team members in our busy Café to deliver and maintain the highest level of customer service excellence
- Demonstrate a "Can-do" Attitude to fellow team members
- Correct use of espresso machine and preparation of styles of coffee sold
- Assist in managing the team and delegate tasks during peak trade periods
- Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
- Resolve minor conflicts between staff and/or guests
- Supervision of assigned staff including training, coaching and performance feedback
- Monitor staff grooming, presentation and conduct, where necessary counsel or discipline
- Assisting with the orientation of new staff and facilitating their ongoing acquisition of knowledge
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Provide up to date information to our members and guests on all Club services
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for members, guests, visitors, and employees in accordance with the Club Policies and Procedures
- Ensure that RSA/RCG/Food Hygiene is promoted and enforced
- Other duties reasonably requested by Management

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a Food and Beverage environment
- Barista trained and previous experience in a café environment
- RSA and RCG qualifications (or willing to obtain)
- Commitment to a 7-day rotating roster across days, nights, weekends and public holidays
- Rights to work in Australia
