Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced
Application DBA / Oracle Developer / Designer
to join our team. This role is primarily focused on
optimising PL/SQL and SQL performance
, ensuring stable, efficient database operations, and supporting business-critical applications.
Responsibilities
Optimise
PL/SQL, SQL queries, and scripts
to enhance performance and reliability.
Analyse existing packaged procedures and design/develop new database objects.
Apply expertise in
execution plan stability, SQL profiles, and hints
to ensure efficient query performance across large data volumes.
Troubleshoot and resolve
application-specific database issues
, ensuring system stability and availability.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and architects to deliver scalable, high-performing database solutions.
Mandatory Requirements
Proven experience as an
Application DBA / Oracle Developer / Designer
.
Strong expertise in
PL/SQL programming and SQL tuning/optimisation
.
Hands-on knowledge of
execution plans, profiles, and hints
for query stability.
Demonstrated ability in
analysing, optimising, and troubleshooting packaged procedures
.
Experience with
high-volume data processing
and ensuring performance under load.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application database issues.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)
Exposure to performance monitoring tools (e.g., AWR, ASH, OEM).
Knowledge of database security and best practices.
Experience working in
Agile delivery environments
