**Permit Officer (Local Government)**

**Location: Perth CBD**
**Contract Start dates: ASAP December start**
**Contract end date: 6 months**
**Pay rate: $40.00 per hour + super**

**Responsibilities**
- Accurately maintain and manage all databases and records associated with long term parking permits and authorised access cards.
- Accurately administer invoices, credit notes and transfers for long term parking permits.
- Maintain and reconcile long term parking permit records in conjunction with monthly permit audit.
- Ensure timely and effective response to inquiries, issues and information distribution between

team members and the wider organisation.
- Actively participate in ongoing system/procedure analysis, review, and improvement.
- Investigate and process permit customer refund requests in a time effective manner.
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.
- Ensure safe and compliant work practices in accordance with Western Australian Occupational Safety and Health legislation as well as the City's safe systems of work.

**Essential Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of outstanding customer service.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, analysing

data and report writing.
- Organisation and time management skills including the ability to prioritise and undertake

several tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
- Data entry skills with knowledge of complex computer systems.
- Must hold a valid police check within 3 months or happy to undergo one.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Knowledge of Local Government functions and practises
- Tertiary qualification in a similar discipline or relevant experience
