As a Principal Software Engineer at Prezzee, you will champion best practices across all teams, build tools to enable engineering excellence, introduce best-in-class architectural patterns, and act as an innovator and champion of new technologies.
You will represent Prezzee by presenting, writing and building the tech brand to the wider tech community.Some of the technologies and patterns we're working on across our teams:Python, Django, FastAPIGraphQL Backend for Frontend using Apollo ServerCloudFormation and Terraform for IaCECS, Lambda, RDS Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, EventBridge, and moreGitHub Actions for both infrastructure and application code CI/CDPlatform engineering for accelerating engineering standardsGlobally distributed service architecture with a performance focus for end usersRealtime page performance monitoring (LCP, Total Load Time, etc), logs, and APM in DatadogPrezzee is an AWS Enterprise customerA passion for AI experimentation and innovationKey Responsibilities What You\'ll Be Doing Coding Practices & Quality: A real passion for quality, secure and maintainable codeDesign & write unit, API/Contract and behavioural testsPull request cross-team approver and arbitratorHelp improve code quality principles across PrezzeeBuild platforms, libraries and frameworks to support the teamContinuous improvement & best practice Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvementPrioritise the Developer ExperienceBe a champion of new technologiesArchitecture & Security Design and implement resilient and scalable distributed systemsGalvanise the engineering team to meet security outcomes and adhere to architectural standardsCollaboration and community Assist in providing technical leadership and support to engineers at all levelsActively participate in team collaboration sessions e.g. tech forums, brown bags, strategy meetingsCollaborate with other teams as necessary to deliver software engineering solutionsPresenting, writing and building tech brand of Prezzee to wider tech communityCreate a reputation and following in the tech community for your contributions and experienceCore Skills What We're Looking For Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniquesAbility to design, estimate and build cutting-edge quality and maintainable codeExceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAn expert in architectural concepts and cloud-based solution designDemonstrable ability to motivate self and othersAn industry thought leader and contributor to open source projects, blogs, meet-ups and conferencesWhy Join Us Join Prezzee, where we don't just work – we innovate, collaborate, and shape the future of digital giving.
