**About the opportunity**

The Data & Analytics team is boldly leading the organisation's data journey across Uniting - putting business intelligence and analytics tools into the hands of our people to enable data-driven decision making across the organisation to improve business efficiency, understand clients better, improve client care and improve staff and resource management.

In this role, the Business Intelligence Manager work directly with the Chief Data Officer and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of enterprise reporting and BI solutions, in alignment with Uniting's Data & Analytics Strategy and program priorities.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage development teams and business SME's to develop modern reporting solutions that add tangible business value to Uniting.
- Project management of the BI development portfolio, including planning project delivery, working with business stakeholders, providing leadership and project management to business stakeholders and SMEs through the development lifecycle.
- Increase the organisational value derived from data assets. Implement methods to increase the maturity of Uniting enterprise decision making capability.

**Skills & Experience**

If you have a background in reporting or business intelligence, have been in a project management and/or team leader role and are looking for an opportunity to move into an enterprise-wide leadership role where you can make a real difference, this may well be the role you've been looking for.

**You will need**:

- Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines to influence and effect change to achieve common goals
- Proven data literacy, the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT stakeholders
- Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists
- Experience in a large organisation in a related capacity
- Experience managing delivery teams, using agile methodology and with complex stakeholder management
- Ability to project manage a portfolio of work, with demonstrated ability to optimise the work within a portfolio, develop project plans and report to stakeholders
