The Role This operationally focused role supports the Parent Seed program by managing all in-field machinery operations, contributing to crop establishment, purity, and harvest across a wide variety of trial crops including sorghum, sunflower, maize, canola, and sweet corn.
Key Responsibilities: Operate precision farming equipment for planting, spraying, harvesting & more Support hybrid seed production with technical & agronomic field work Maintain crop purity and trial integrity across seasonal operations Liaise with agronomists and internal stakeholders on crop scheduling Ensure all machinery is calibrated, maintained, and safe Travel regionally to various trial and production sites as required The Benefits Join an industry leader offering a highly diverse role with year-round operations, ongoing learning, and access to cutting-edge seed technology.
Salary: $85K - $95K + super Performance Bonus: 5–10% of base salary Pool vehicle provided for work travel PPE, uniform, boots, laptop, phone, corporate card supplied Training provided for licenses & certifications Skills & Experience Proven experience with agricultural machinery (tractors, sprayers, planters) Basic agronomy knowledge relevant to seed production High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset Ability to lead and supervise casual field teams when required HR Truck Licence (or willingness to obtain) Chemical and forklift accreditations (or willingness to obtain) Your EmployerOur client is a leading Australian agribusiness with over six decades of experience in broadacre seed innovation.
