**Lindsay Transport is currently seeking two Local Drivers (HC / MC) to join the team in the Gatton depot for pick up and delivery work.**

**This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading transportation company and play a key part in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses every day to meet their logistics and transportation needs.**

Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs.

Today we employ over 1,500 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.

**About the role**:
Local drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer goods and the loading, unloading and load restraint of freight.

Duties you can expect with this role include:

- Working with temperature sensitive produce for local pick up and delivery runs
- Ensuring the safe and timely handling of company freight
- Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery paperwork
- Interacting with clients in a professional manner
- Working closely with Depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight.
- Driving prime movers to haul B trailers in various configurations
- Completing essential safety documentation such as pre-start checklists

Day, afternoon and night shifts are available.

**About the requirements**:

- Have a current HC or MC Licence at a minimum
- Have a Basic Fatigue Management accreditation (preferred)
- Have a commitment to workplace health and safety
- Be reliable and punctual with good communication skills
- Have a strong customer focus
- Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Provide a current traffic print out
