An exciting opportunity exists for a clinician with a strong interest in and commitment to Mental Health to join the experienced and dedicated Acute Community Mental Health Team at Ryde Community Mental Health Centre.
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time | Hours Per Week: 38 | Requisition ID: REQ604799
Salary ranges vary by profession and qualification level, including Health Professional Level 1/2, Registered Nurse, and Psychologist.
Location: Ryde Acute Team, Ryde Community Mental Health Centre, Eastwood.
What You'll Be Doing
Mental Health triage and assessments for consumers within the community experiencing acute mental health problems.
Mental health assessments in Ryde ED after hours.
Short-term mental health treatment in the community, including care coordination and longer-term case management as clinically indicated.
Collaborative care planning for consumers transferring between hospital and community, follow-up support and onward referrals where appropriate.
Brief therapeutic interventions such as BIC based on Project Air model for Personality Disorders.
Working in a multidisciplinary team across a 7-day rotating roster with morning and afternoon shifts.

What You Need to Know About the Role
Ryde Hospital redevelopment projects will enhance facilities and services and provide opportunities to contribute to transforming local health services.
What You'll Need
Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline (Psychology, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse) or eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
Demonstrated mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience.
Experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.
Experience in community mental health and knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
Extensive case management/care coordination skills.
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Current NSW Driver's licence.
Proficiency with data systems and/or Microsoft Office Word.
