Our Marine Geoconsulting team are world renowned technical experts providing consulting services within the fields of geology, geoscience, and geotechnical engineering. We focus on projects predominantly in the offshore energy sectors, with a specialization in site characterisation and foundation design in carbonate soils in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. We currently have a strong demand in both the gas and offshore renewables market with expectation that the latter will grow significantly.

The Opportunity

Based in West Perth, Fugro has an exciting and rare opening for a key leader to join our team. We are looking for an influential, collaborative, and strategic Service Line Manager to lead our highly skilled team of world-renowned, best in their field, technical experts in our Geoconsulting department. The key purpose of this role is to harness the unique talents of our team, sell our specialist solutions to clients and grow profitability of the regional service line.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining strong client satisfaction, growing revenue and increasing profit
- Responsible for tender proposals and project resource allocation
- Accountable for project management (start-up to evaluation) for all projects within service line
- Ensuring the Service Line remains current with new technology developments for software, hardware and processes
- Fostering a high engagement culture that builds trust, collaboration and a commitment to delivery excellence

About You

The key to succeed in this impactful role is your ability to build trust, channel your teams expertise and motivation, whilst inspiring them to reach their full potential. You will have a technical background with proven ability to strategize and achieve results.

We are looking for:

- Bachelor degree in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering, Ocean Science or related field
- Strong experience in leading a technical team in a project delivery environment
- Background and understanding of marine energy drivers and key offshore asset lifecycle milestones
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing abilities
- Solid understanding of financial performance, revenue and P&L
