**About Neonatal Services**
The Women's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is one of five tertiary level units in Melbourne who care for the most critically unwell babies across Victoria. The Women's provides specialist care to approximately 1600 premature and medically unwell babies per year with over 695 of those cared for in intensive care. The unit has a key role in providing education and training for local, national and international health professionals and is also a leading international contributor to neonatal research, with a strong focus on translating research findings into clinical practice.
**About the role**
In partnership with the Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of Family Integrated Care education and learning programs for both staff in Neonatal Services, and parents with a baby/ies in the unit. You'll also provide FiCare clinical support to staff and families at the bedside to ensure parents become partners in the care of their baby/ies.
Over the course of the project you will:
- Develop, deliver and evaluate FiCare education programs, incorporating both face-to-face and e-learning content
- Facilitate change through the provision of coaching to the Neonatal team of the FiCare framework
- Promote awareness of FiCare within the wider hospital and community
**About you**
You will be someone who is comfortable facilitating cultural change, with strong influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to rapidly build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You'll bring with you:
- Significant clinical experience in a tertiary NICU
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to create supportive and reflective practice learning environments
- Confidence in public speaking, presenting and facilitating groups
