ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and tactical analysis and procurement planning, category management, strategy development and implementation, and expert knowledge and advice to internal stakeholders, including National Fire Ant Eradication Program business groups.Conduct and lead tender management from procurement planning through to contract award, contract management and administration, prepare procurement-related correspondence, provide procurement advice to stakeholders and exercise procurement authorisation.Initiate and project-manage reviews of procurement systems and processes and identify strategies for improvement to ensure an efficient and effective procurement function.Provide advice and structured support for routine sourcing activities undertaken by the Program, including contingent labour engagements.Collaboratively develop and maintain governance and audit requirements with DPI procurement.Ensure a culture of service delivery and high performance that recognises individual contributions, encourages personal and team development, and supports a healthy work/life balance.Lead, mentor, coach and train staff to develop the skills and motivation needed to meet service delivery requirements.Contribute to divisional business planning and resource prioritisation processes.Provide objective, professional input to the development of departmental procurement policies, systems and procedures.Influence the capability and profile of procurement with the NFAEP and contribute to the development of knowledge and expertise of purchasing staff in delivering effective procurement practices.Other duties as directed as required.You may also haveLevel 3 Queensland Government Procurement Certification (Diploma in Government - Procurement and Contracting)Knowledge and experience in applying procurement-related policies, procedures or frameworks, preferably in a government or public sector environment.Experience in SAP highly desirable.What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking the best suited candidate for the role and will assess eligibility and suitability to fulfil the role requirements (including how you carried out previous roles).
