ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

8848 Disability Services is currently looking for a few committed, caring and professional individuals to join our team on a casual basis leading to a permanent role, depending on future need. The advertised role has split shifts and may involve driving to the participant.

**TYPICAL DUTIES MIGHT INCLUDE**:

- Support participants to develop and maintain independence in the community.
- Implement behaviour support plans aimed at supporting individuals who demonstrate challenging behaviours to achieve their goals.
- Support customers with personal care and other health and hygiene issues such as eating, dressing, toileting and showering.
- Undertake various household tasks including mealtime management, cleaning, shopping and other community access activities.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support or equivalent qualifications.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a car.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers
- NDIS Workers Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Disability Support: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (required)
- NDIS Workers Check (preferred)
