A bit about your role

The SERC Specialist is responsible for leading and supervising the SERC Operators on shift to ensure the services provided by the SERC are delivered in alignment with policy, procedure and the law. SERC is responsible for several emergency management and security monitoring & response functions, plus managing access control to nbn assets, infrastructure, and property.

A bit about you

As the Security and Emergency Response Centre Specialist, you will have strong communication skills as you will regularly lead stakeholder engagement meetings and interactions including but not limited to nbn employees, contractors, suppliers, retail service providers, and law enforcement agencies.

You will motivate and inspire the SERC Operators by creating an environment that promotes positive interactions & communication, develops the teams' strengths, and looks for opportunities to improve. The SERC Specialist will exert strong leadership skills in guiding the SERC Operators to meet business needs and goals as well as providing constructive feedback. The role will require problem solving and critical thinking skills when managing, assisting, or escalating incidents. The role will set performance goals and development plans for the team and monitor team productivity and provide feedback and coaching as required.
