**Client**:
An exciting opportunity exists within a global manufacturing organisation on the northern beaches (Belrose, Frenchs Forest), for a dynamic, proactive, and professional procurement specialist.
They are well known for their cutting-edge, state-of-the-art capital equipment, and supporting companies within the Mining, Oil & Gas, and Renewable sectors. As a business, they Turn Over in excess of $8 billion And have serious plans to develop throughout Australia, therefore you will not get pigeonholed, plenty of opportunities to grow.
The position is open to professionals with 5 to 10 years of experience in supply chain activities including but not limited to manufacturing demand planning, procurement and purchasing, inventory and material management, distribution management, MRP, and ERP system maintenance. Someone skilled in key negotiation and strategic decision making, productivity improvement, and excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
**Objectives of the role**:
- Management and end of life-cycle processing, domestic and international manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, and freight.
- Develop effective material costs reduction programs - raw materials - cast iron, steel casting, bronze, nickel - aluminum, steels & more.
- Produce appropriate metrics to measure the department and supplier performance.
- Create and execute sustainable procurement functions, strategic sourcing, liaising with local and overseas foundries, machine shops & more.
- Evaluation, negotiation & ongoing supplier performance management, negotiating contracts and building long-term partnerships.
- Contract schedule formulation Stakeholder influence.
- MRP system maintenance.
- Full working rights in Australia.Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Diploma or Degree
- Experienced within a Manufacturing environment, purchasing raw materials.
- Forecasting & Demand analysis.
- Supply Chain & Distribution, S&OP.
- Success stories within cost reduction.
- SAP / Oracle experience.
- Good written and communication skills.
- Strong time management and people skills.
**_Packages ranging from $115,000 to $135,000 inclusive of base, bonus, and super depending on experience._**
