About the Role
To work with the kitchen staff for the purpose of producing high quality meals. To practice and teach portion control, quality control, waste control and product preparation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation: Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences. This includes mixing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and preparing coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking drink orders, and offering menu recommendations. Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
Bar Maintenance: Ensure the bar area is clean, well-organised, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and liquor. Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as washing glasses and utensils.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and prevent overintoxication.
Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing bar inventory, including restocking supplies, placing orders, and keeping track of inventory levels.
Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a bartender or bar attendant preferred.
Proven knowledge of cocktail preparation and mixology techniques.
Licence Controller Qualification would be favourable.
Knowledge of beverage and alcohol laws and regulations.
