Marketing And Events Officer

Your opportunity
As the Marketing and Events Officer, you will develop innovative marketing and communication strategies and also coordinate special events for the school. This role is new to Chancellor State College so you will need the drive and passion to bring your experience and creative skill set to shine in this space, working autonomously to achieve great outcomes for our students, staff, school and community. You will need strong written and verbal communication skills to work across a variety of media adding your creative flair and innovation to the schools' online presence, to improve community engagement as well as imaginatively working with social media to improve community engagement. You will maintain strong communication between internal and external stakeholders with a start-up focus on creating and delivering a sponsorship program. There are many opportunities for you to exercise your creativity, whilst continuing to working within the guidelines and policies of the Department of Education. The Marketing and Events Officer reports to the Principal and Business Manager.
Your role
As the Marketing and Events Officer, you will have responsibility for the following:

- Strategically advise the executive team on marketing and promotional opportunities to build school pride, celebrate achievements and communicate with the school community.
- Coordination of school special events e.g., Awards night, Anzac Day, Graduation ceremonies, Open Day - bring your dazzle to create wonderful events.
- Coordinate the production of all school publications (hard copy and online).
- Assist in the development of promotional material, including marketing strategies and initiatives, and develop innovative marketing systems, processes and procedures. Promote how wonderful our school is.
- Consult with respective school bodies to generate a marketing plan including consultation with the Principal and Business Manager.
- Develop and coordinate partnerships with key external stakeholders, including local media and local Industry Partners and develop networks to enhance the current position of the school.
- Implementing a new Sponsorship Program
- The Marketing and Events Officer will maintain current knowledge of trends in the use of online media to support parent-school communication and to maintain a positive school brand. Someone who can clearly brand and market the school with its current ethos and standing in the community as well as focussing on new initiatives and strategies is highly desirable.
