THE ROLE
This position is primarily responsible for leading a team to manage divisional and regional planning and response for the West Division. This includes priorities in areas such as emergency response, relief and recovery operations including social, psychosocial and financial assistance. Engagement with other Divisions and external agencies and stakeholders across rural and metropolitan areas of the Division is an important aspect of the role, requiring frequent travel.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet state-wide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
- Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
- Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
