Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Principle Cost Controller to join our team in Perth CBD on either a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. This is a long-term role reporting to the Lead Project Controller for APAC West.
Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Southeast Asia and Kazakhstan.
Your key focus will be to provide cost controls services for a Service Contract.
**As a Principle Cost Controller, you will**:
- Prepare and report project cost budgets, tracking, management and reporting of project expenditure to enable robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle
- Develop and report project cost budgets, ensuring budgets and reports are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures and standards
- Review, analyse and report of actual and forecast project costs against the project approved budget
- Support the management and development of the Cost team, the management of project budgets, actual and forecast costs, and the preparation and filing of project cost documentation
- May act as the focal point for several smaller, less complex project scopes
- Monitoring and controlling cost activities through all phases of project lifecycle
- Liaise with project management, project planning, and others as required to ensure accuracy in project cost phasing and forecasting
- Liaise with procurement, finance and time-capture functions, and third parties as required, to ensure accurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontract and labour man-hour costs

Skills / Qualifications:
**Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship.**
**You will have**:
- 10+ years experience as a Principle Cost Controller
- Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience) Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Incumbents will typically have a minimum 4 years relevant cost experience
- Proficient knowledge of cost software and related principles, tools and techniques including budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow
- Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Cost Management including Change Management
- Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
- Proficient ability to develop project cost budgets and change estimates
- Proficient ability to prepare cost reports
- Understanding of change management and associated cost and schedule processes
- Understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management Personal Attributes
