The Royal Women's Hospital is Australia's first and largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of newborns and women of all ages. To join the Women's is to be instrumental in forging progress towards health equity for women from ground-breaking research through to the bedside delivery of multi-disciplinary clinical care.

Health Information Services (HIS) at the Women's covers a range of services including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) support, medical record retrieval for patient care and research, clinical coding, statutory reporting and data integrity, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, medical enquiries/release of information (ROI) requests and medical transcription (outpatient service).

HIS also looks after the Archives Department, which is responsible for overseeing both the historical and cultural memory of the hospital, according to relevant statutes, legislation and retention authorities.

HIS sits within the Informatics Department which has 4 key portfolios:

- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Health Information Services
- Archives

**Your contribution**

In the role of Data Integrity Officer, you will develop, manage and implement training programs to ensure that stakeholders are educated about data integrity and the ramifications of error creation. You will also be responsible for various datasets and reporting particularly the Victorian Admitted Episodes ( VAED).

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Assist with mandatory reporting processes to ensure deadlines are met, including data extraction, validation, submission and error management of applicable datasets
- Develop and maintain reconciliation processes for the datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data between RWH, internal reporting software and DoH
- Identify data trends, develop reports, audits and training programs to ensure appropriate feedback and communication is provided to relevant stakeholders
- Backfilling opportunities available across the team

**About you**

What you will bring to this role:

- Experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) e.g. iPM and/or similar
- Working knowledge of data entry and business processes within health services
- High level problem solving, analytical skills and initiative
- Demonstrated ability to perform work accurately and within time constraints
- A Bachelor of Health Information Management is desirable but not essential
