**Disability Support Workers (Casual) Wollongong /Towradgi NSW**

Bridges Alliance is a disability support organisation based in South western Sydney. We are seeking 3 reliable and dedicated Disability Support Workers to support one of our valued NDIS clients in the Towradgi/ Wollongong area.

**About the hours**

Shifts are available from 2-8 hours, morning, day and night, 7 days a week. Please note Extra hours are available for weekends and school holidays.

Sleepover night shift is available 7 days a week.

There are consistent hours available for a suitable applicant, up to 38 hours per week.

**About the Client**

There is one Male youth client, living in SIL accommodation with Autism. The Client is nonverbal and communicates with sounds and hand gestures. As the client can have behavioural aggression, it is important that staff are able to de-escalate situations and would the work suit staff with prior Mental health experience, with a calm demeanour.

He is an affectionate boy, who dislikes loud noises and thrives on routine. He enjoys activities and outdoors.

Personal care is needed including domestic activities - Cooking, medication, showering, dressing administration is required.

**Skills & Experience**
- Basic computer skills required
- Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to the client
- Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Willingness to work at various locations e.g. Port Kembla
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective team player
- Understanding of Autism
- Lived experience will be preferred

**Criteria**
- Have a Current First Aid or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
- COVID-19 considerations: All NDIS Workers are required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) or medically exempt.
- Be willing to provide a NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) Clearance
- NSW driving Licence -reliable vehicle (essential)
