Our social group facilitators play a key role in helping young people recognise their strengths and abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

Wea re currently seeking a Social Group Facilitator to run our Step Into Social group fortnightly Saturdays from 12:45pm to 4:15pm (3.5 hour shift in Fremantle). The group is catered individuals on the autism spectrum aged 18 to 30 years old. It's a fun session will with lots of activities, games and excursions out and around Perth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilise a strength based approach focusing on special interests to create opportunities for people to come together to share interests and create friendships;
- Collaborate with participants and their parents/carers and assess the needs of the individual participant;
- Run activities including; community/environmental projects, centre-based activities, outdoor activities, excursions and incursions related to interests identified by the participants in the individual groups;
- Mentor, coach and support individuals and encourage greater social inclusion;
- Attend and contribute to meetings concerning the participants in the group;
- Attend regular training and development opportunities to gain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and policy developments;
- Manage a team of group assistants;
- Use a collaborative approach with the group to develop activity plans for each term;
- Undertake administrative tasks, conduct intake interviews, maintain effective recording systems and respond to queries;
