Apply Now About the roleLocated in Mackay and reporting to the Support Manager or Service Leader, you will work within the Purpose and Values of Aruma.
You will be part of a high performing Support Team working towards delivering a positive customer experience to those in our care.
We have several casual opportunities available with conversion to permanent for the right candidates.Key Focus AreasProvide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment and promoting positive family relationshipsYou will have resilience to work within a trauma-informed framework that makes a real difference with young people who have complex needs and challenging behavioursBenefitsCasual conversion to permanentRegular rostered hours for permanent staffMentoring by an experienced and passionate management teamBenefits to increase your take home pay through salary packagingEmployee Assistance Program - a health and wellbeing benefitWhat you'll needCertificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent (click here to view more details) or working towardsValid Australian full driver's licence, for the state you have applied forValid Australian working rightsWillingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening CheckHold (or are willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications.Skills and experienceAvailability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepoversYou are passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disabilityCulturePeople love to work at Aruma because they get the satisfaction of knowing they are Supporting people to live a great life, the life they want, the life they choose.
