Key Responsibilities
The mechanical Commissioning Field Technicians are responsible for testing, operating and controlling various areas and
mechanical equipment of the Lithium Hydroxide Processing Equipment in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner during the
C2 and C3 stage of commissioning. Commissioning involves testing and performing fault finding diagnosis on mechanical
equipment. Operating the plant involves many different activities, including overseeing and controlling of the process in the
field and operate equipment on safe fluids like air and water.

**General responsibilities**:

- Ensure conformance with the Albemarle policies and procedures and relevant statutory obligations.
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, security and the environment.
- Immediate reporting to supervisors/leading hands or managers of any safety or environmental incident in a timely manner.

Action on agreed solution to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure testing is of a standard to avoid quality and safety breaches.
- Actively eliminate and/or report workplace hazards.
- Participate actively in safe-starts and toolboxes.
- Understand and use JHAs, FLRA, work permitting, isolations and other job relevant procedures and standards.
- To carry out other duties as and when required at the direction of supervisor or lead.KEMERTON LITHIUM PROCESSING PLANT

**Mechanical responsibilities**:

- Assure commissioning FTR and MCR completion and tracking is maintained to a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Assist in development of JHAs.
- Execute work assigned work by supervisor.

Commission and perform fault finding diagnosis on equipment which includes but is not limited to:
Reciprocating and centrifugal pumping equipment.
Valves and actuators.
Other processing equipment (kilns, scrubbers, vessels, piping etc).
Water systems.
Firewater systems.
Collecting condition monitoring data.
- Documentation of mechanical testing data such as vibration monitoring, alignments, drawing revisions, specifications

and engineering/process changes.
- Ensure that transport, tools, plant and equipment are maintained in proper working order and not abused.
- Interface closely with construction and vendor personnel ensuring that activities are undertaken in a safe manner.

**Operational responsibilities**:

- Carrying out visual checks of the area, as per procedures and training, to ensure safe and efficient

performance.
- Carry out scheduled tasks that ensure safe and efficient performance, as per procedure and training.
- Ensuring the area is clean and tidy.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment onsite, as per procedure and training on safe fluids.
- Contribute to problem solving of issues that arise if the area is not performing safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to improvement activities and ideas to improve performance of area.
- Carry out scheduled checks that ensure safe and efficient performance of the plant, as per procedure and

training.
- Participate in problem solving of issues that arise if the plant is not performing safely and efficiently.

- Ensuring that procedures required to return equipment to operational status at the completion of work

preparation execution and equipment return to service systems.
- Once trained and authorised, perform PTW authorisations in their area of responsibility.

Work Experience Requirements
- Physical activity for up to 10 hours
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Communicate well written and verbal.
- Solve problems - team and individual
- Prioritise and act independently.
- Work experience in complex process installations.
- Solid understanding of permit and isolation requirements.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical /piping drawings and P&IDs.
- 5 years previous experience from trade, preferably in a commissioning environment.
- Working knowledge of Australian and International Standards.
