Workshop/Suspension Technician

**What We Do**

**Position Summary**:
The Suspension Technician is responsible for the repair/service of FOX/Marzocchi Bicycle suspension products as well as Easton/Race Face componentry. This includes but is not limited to:

- Suspension Servicing and tuning.
- Ensure timely repairs to meet KPI's.
- Inspect, clean, and repair Fox, Race Face, Easton & Marzocchi products to factory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Reporting to the Supervisor, Technical Service of any issues over and above the standard service.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Complete tear down and rebuild of FOX, Race Face, Easton & Marzocchi bicycle products.
- Clean and inspect all internal and external assemblies for wear or damage.
- Understand technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnosis.
- Contact Service Writer/Supervisor, Technical Service if repair will cost more than original estimate given to the customer.
- Ensure proper function and quality standards set by FOX, Race Face, Easton & Marzocchi on all repairs.
- Follow all processes and procedures that are in effect for the operation of the department.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations within the department.

**Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required**:

- Ability to use tools properly without causing harm and damaging products.
- Good communication skills to explain in detail mechanical problems with product.
- Understand and execute detailed instructions given by Supervisor/Service Manager.
- Ability to read technical drawings/ engineering documents.
- Good computer skills. Ability to use data base for part searches, etc.
- May be asked to travel or participate in FOX, Race Face, Easton & Marzocchi events out in the field.
- Ability to work within a fast paced and team-oriented environment and meet productivity and quality goals.
- Able to work autonomously and initiative under direction of management team whilst being an integral team member.
- Need to be highly organised and pro-active.

**Position Qualifications**:
**Experience**:

- Previous bicycle/bicycle suspension experience is preferred.

**Work Environment and Physical Requirements**:

- May require walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
- Capable of lifting items up to 20kg
