Assistant Coordinator Outside School Hours Care

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50+ services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

We are currently recruiting for an **Assistant Coordinator** to join our team at **YMCA Flagstone Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). **This is a **permanent, part-time** position. Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during school term and 38 hours during vacation care time.

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

**YMCA Flagstone Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** located inside Flagstone State Schooland is licensed for 100 children. We offer Before and after school care from 6am to 9am and 2:30pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday. We also offer Vacation Care, operating from 6am to 6pm.

The YMCA of Brisbane commenced management of the Flagstone service in 2016. We have a variety of spaces for the children to explore including a purpose built natural outdoor play area and an extensive range of resources.

Through our program, we have created an environment which is safe, inclusive, diverse, engaging and fun. By learning through play, our children are encouraged to discover and explore their world and cultivate a sense of self. **As an OSHC Assistant Coordinator you will assist with**:

- The development of quality programs
- Manage the day to day running of the programs;
- Support the Coordinator with staff management;
- Ensure compliance with policy;
- Undertake administrative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:

- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programing and a passion for providing quality childcare;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
- NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
