We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our growing organization.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Compliance Manager will ensure the organization is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, focused on consumer law.

This is a new eCommerce start up. Experience within an eCommerce compliance role will be highly beneficial.

A strong background in compliance programs and the ability to navigate complex regulations is a must.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and maintain an effective compliance program
- Monitor and assess compliance-related risk
- Set up procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations - Monitor internal processes and controls
- Identify and investigate violations of regulations
- Prepare and submit reports to the Chief Compliance Officer
- Develop and educate staff on compliance policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related discipline
- 5+ years of compliance management experience
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with consumer law and marketing law
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Most importantly, your natural style leans more towards coaching rather than policing. You love coaching, love being involved with the team as a whole.

As a start up, there will be lots to do. It will require someone who is just as comfortable developing strategy as they are delivering in a hands on manner.
