About the Role
As the Attendance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Generate daily absenteeism reports, send SMS notifications to parents/carers, follow up with teachers, and record data in Excel and OneSchool.
Daymap experience is highly desirable.
Prepare and distribute the Daily Attendance Report to teaching staff and Deputy Principals; update teachers on late notifications.
Track and document reasons for chronic absences, monitor attendance programs, and share data with relevant staff.
Liaise with the Student Support Officer, Head of Special Education Services (HOSES), and Guidance Officer to address attendance-related concerns.
Monitor attendance trends to identify students at risk and support teachers in managing non-attendance.
Engage with families of persistently absent students and support strategies to improve attendance.
Refer at-risk students to appropriate support services to address barriers to attendance.
Provide administrative support at the student counter, assist with timetable changes.
Administer basic first aid to students as required.
