At Henty Public School, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated leader to join our team as a Principal. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role and make a real impact in the lives of our students and staff.
The successful candidate will have high level educational leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a complex public school focused on delivering high quality education. They will also be able to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs, build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
Plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
Lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
In addition to the general selection criteria, the successful candidate will need to have expertise to lead data driven, research-based, quality explicit teaching practices to provide enrichment opportunities, differentiated curriculum and maximise learning outcomes to address the diversity of all learners. They will also need to demonstrate resilience as a visible, approachable leader to build authentic connections and collaboration with staff, parents, community and external agencies to strengthen a culture of productive educational partnerships to enhance learning, wellbeing, attendance and engagement for all students.
