**Optical Dispenser (Up to $32 p/hr - Coombs)**

Our client is a full-service optometry practices that offers comprehensive care to meet vision and eye care needs. They ensure each patient's visit is comfortable and completed promptly. Through combined efforts, all the staff work around busy schedules and address questions and concerns before appointments. In using the most effective techniques and treatment methods, they ensure that their patients get the very best treatments and enjoy the most comfortable treatment methods. Each patient is treated uniquely. In this way, they can design methods that are tailored to specific patients and get the very best results. They are seeking an optical dispenser to join our team on a permanent casual basis for 3 days per week. This is a casual role, days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 09:00 to 17:30 with 30 minutes unpaid breaks.

Proposed hourly salary - $28 - $32 + Super depending on experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining a bright and positive attitude in working with patients in a bright, friendly manner and promptly attending to their eye care needs
- Creating a rapport and a relationship with clients to ensure exceptional journey/providing frame styling and fashion advice
- Selling and dispensing frames and lenses to customers based on their prescriptions and personal preferences
- Interpreting a customer's eye prescription from an optometrist including accounting for eye conditions
- Repairing and cleaning customers' eyeglass frames when they pay for the service. This includes switching out nose pads and recommending lens replacements as needed
- Filing paperwork, completing cleaning tasks, and answering incoming phone calls

**Skills and Experience Requirements**:

- Optical dispensing experience
- Knowledge of Sunix patient management system
- Highly desirable / working with children clearance
- Great knowledge of various Lenses
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to help patients with their frame selections and tailor individual fittings to their satisfaction
- Excellence in all facets of dispensing, including sales; appropriate frame choice, progressive set up; edging and fitting; quality control; and repairs
