**Job Description**:
As an integral member of the enterprise team, the Product Owner will be responsible for maximizing the value of our products and the work done by the delivery team. They work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, executive team and external business clients and customers to create, refine, prioritize and deliver the product roadmap and the resulting product backlog. Working with the Tech Lead and team, the Product Owner drives the delivery schedule forward so that the product effectively addresses user and business needs while maintaining technical integrity. The Product Owner addresses the agile development teams' intense need for real-time input on user stories, user experience/user interface, acceptance criteria and requirements. This role also acts as a first point of contact for the business regarding all matters relating to product delivery, including delivery timescales and considerations.

This role is within a fast-moving team and will involve working with some ambiguity to achieve objectives, so you must be comfortable with that. As such you will be expected to take initiative and display strong communication and time-management skills to facilitate meetings that ensure teams and stakeholders are aligned on the outcomes.

This is a 12 Month fixed term mat leave cover.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Close collaboration and coordination with product strategy, business owners, user experience and the delivery team to contribute to the product roadmap
- Converting the product roadmap into the product backlog, breaking down high-level product features into epics, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Working closely with the regional teams supporting the Enterprise segment for OFX, in particular the Enterprise Solutions Partner (ESP) and Senior Systems Architect (SSA)
- Representing the product to internal stakeholders and third-party partners globally i.e. guiding them in selecting the right solution to meet the partner needs, representing OFX in scoping the solution with the partner, managing E2E solution delivery and contributing to the overall plan including providing regular progress updates
- Managing risks and issues with the partner during delivery and contributing to robust mitigating plans
- Leading the product activities across this group, including supporting ongoing partnerships and new Enterprise deals
- Building strong relationships with internal and external partners to identify opportunities, building and delivering technical solutions that fulfil business needs
- Supporting high level estimation activities and contributing to the 'discovery' phase for new initiatives where needed
- Supporting the Product Manager to understand priorities and ensure these are appropriately represented in the product backlog
- Ensuring timely communication of release information for products and business teams (e.g. marketing and operations) to effectively perform their function
- Supporting reporting and governance structure around delivery and communications
- Where required, working with the Product Manager to create the product backlog
- Interacting with users/customers to refine requirements, collect feedback, and troubleshoot issues
- Ensuring the delivery team has a clear understanding of the product by creating relevant artefacts e.g. epics, user story mapping/writing, workflow diagrams, mock-ups, acceptance criteria etc.
- Prioritizing the product backlog based on key value metrics
- Working closely with the Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to align solution design with product requirements
- Supporting the scrum teams during delivery, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint retrospective, stakeholder & final acceptance, and documentation (all agile rituals and ceremonies through to benefit realization)
- Leading by example and demonstrate clear communication style, along with logical and pragmatic decision making

**Qualifications**:
What you bring:

- Valuable Experience_
- Extensive experience with direct product management/ownership, from initiation through to delivery and launch
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to read, interpret, contribute to and suggest use cases from API documentation
- Understanding of payment services (cross-border is a bonus) and B2B products
- Working knowledge of bank messaging protocols and processes
