Domestic Service Assistant - Vmch - Shanagolden, PakenhamJOB DESCRIPTIONPart-time opportunity at VMCH, PakenhamGreat culture with a fun, friendly team and supportive environmentExcellent not-for-profit salary packaging benefitsAbout the roleWe are looking for reliable, caring, and compassionate Domestic Services Assistants (DSA) to bring joy to our residents' day.Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, you will:Carry out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environmentPerform carpet cleaning of all areas using a carpet cleanerClean residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment, as appropriate, along with communal and administrative areasEnsure common living areas, hallways, and all other areas of the facility (including front entrance courtyards and verandas) are maintained in a clean, tidy, and safe conditionEnsure the safe storage, security, and labelling of cleaning materials in line with MSDS, in consultation with the Residential Services Manager, while being aware of environmental requirements for cleaning products and disposalReplenish cleaning liquids and materials, observing safety proceduresReport stock shortages, breakages, and defects promptly to the Residential Services ManagerThis opportunity is perfect for someone who is available to work part-time covering the following days and shifts:Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am to 3pm, and Saturday from 8am to 12 middayWeek 2: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am to 3pmAbout youExcellent interpersonal skills, including effective and compassionate communication with residents, families, employees, and volunteers; patience; common sense; and an understanding of client service.Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independentlyExperience using a professional carpet cleanerWell-developed prioritisation and organisational skills to meet deadlinesAbility to operate with discretion and maintain confidentialityCommitment to teamworkWhy VMCH?
