**The Salary range is $43.08 to $46.36 per hour. Hourly rate based on experience.**

**Are you passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families? At Churches of Christ**, we are looking for a dedicated **Support Practitioner - Identified** to join our Children, Youth & Families team in **Ashmore or Daisy Hill**.
**Churches of Christ** is committed to Christ-inspired care for vulnerable people. In this **Identified** role, you'll be instrumental in delivering culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering services to First Nations communities, helping to break the cycle of over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in care.

**What You'll Do**
- Provide case management and tailored support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
- Build strong community partnerships with agencies, carers, and families to create sustainable support networks.
- Deliver culturally inclusive programs that promote healing, resilience, and well-being.
**About You**:
- ** You are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person**(a genuine occupational requirement under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991).
- ** You have a** **degree qualification in social work, psychology, social science or a related discipline**(or equivalent level of expertise with more than 4 years' experience attained through previous appointments, service, and/or study, with a minimum Certificate III in Community Services, as approved by the State Manager or Operations Manager).
- ** You have applied knowledge and understanding of child protection**and out-of-home care frameworks, including knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, the Child Protection Act 1999.
- ** You have a** **demonstrated ability to complete assessments for care** and a deep understanding of the contemporary challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- ** You have experience in child protection**, community services, or supporting vulnerable children and families.
- ** You possess strong interpersonal skills**and the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities.
**What You'll Need**:
- Current driver's licence - P2 minimum
- Current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) - or the ability to acquire.
