What's The Role
You will be responsible for the safe and effective maintenance execution for defined scopes on QGC Upstream Assets, including pipelines, wellsites, groundwater monitoring wells, Field compression Stations, Central Processing Plant, and Ponds.
The role aims to deliver high-quality and efficient work to ensure safe operational readiness.

What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for the safe, high-quality mechanical maintenance across oil and gas assets, including planned and corrective activities with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
Using CMMS (e.g., Maximo) for planning, executing, and closing work orders with accurate records.
Performing inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and rebuilds of equipment such as PSVs, hydraulic systems, gas engines, air compressors, and dehydration skids.
Remedying issues via laser shaft alignment and flange management.
Applying vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
Supporting turnaround and shutdown events.
Following Permit to Work and Safe Isolation practices.
Documenting work logs and closing out work orders in CMMS.
Maintaining Safety Critical and Integrity Critical Equipment.
Supporting and covering for Leading Hand roles when required.
Leadership & Safety
Exercising visible leadership and commitment to HSSE standards, Shell values, and code of conduct.
Conducting HSSE risk assessments.
Promoting diversity and inclusion.
Coaching and mentoring team members and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
What You Bring
Certificate III Mechanical Trade or higher; First Aid (CPR) certification.
Significant maintenance experience in heavy industry, preferably oil & gas or petrochemical.
Experience with gas-driven compression equipment.
Familiarity with HYTORC, RAD guns, Swagelok fittings.
Fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Laser alignment, flange management, risk mitigation skills.
Experience with safety systems and permit systems.
High Risk tickets, Heavy Rigid license, and Working at Heights training are desirable.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to reside in remote locations during work phases.
Roster & Work Conditions
Back-to-back on a 15/13 roster, 11-hour days.
Effective leadership and teamwork skills are crucial, along with high work ethic, autonomy, and passion for performance improvement.
