**The Role**
Ventia, in collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, are seeking enthusiastic Food & Beverage team members to deliver exceptional front of house customer service across service areas, dining areas, and bars. Your role will involve customer assistance, bar service, point of sale operations, stocking shelves, displaying stock, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- These positions are based at the RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. The kitchen operates daily from approximately 6:00am to 9:30pm, with VIP events extending until around 11:00pm. This position will also have opportunities to work across the other metropolitan and regional sites managed by Ventia. (Hours/shifts will vary from week to week across a 7-day rotating roster)

**Benefits**:

- Casual and permanent part-time roles available. (PT is minimum 20 hour per week)
- Casual rates: $31.23 per hour. (incl. 25% casual loading)
- Part-time rates: $24.98 per hour.
- Penalty rates for shifts after 6 pm, weekends, and public holidays.
- Additional allowances for laundry and first aiders (if/when certified).
- Uniform/PPE supplied.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming customers, responding to their requests promptly, exceeding their expectations, and ensuring excellent service during functions and events, including adherence to Defence traditions.
- Prepare bars and dining areas prior to opening, including setting up buffets, completing temperature checks, and ensuring menus/labels are set up correctly for each service period.
- Ensure Mess and Bar areas are kept clean and well-presented during serving periods.
- Ensure bar services are supplied in line with Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol Standards and licensing arrangements.
- Support stock management initiatives, including stock rotation, review of labels and used by dates, loading and unloading supplies, restocking consumables, and assist with stock take activities.
- Follow safe food handling and sanitation procedures, verify all equipment is working correctly, and is used properly to safely prepare, hold, and serve food and drinks.
- Assisting kitchen with meal deliveries to different locations on base.

**Position Requirements**:

- Prior experience delivering food and beverage services in hotels, restaurants, and high-volume dining establishments. (**Required**)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification. (RSA) (**Required**)
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
- Current Australian drivers licence. (**Required**)
