**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Tenacity Fitness has a café, called Tenacity Caffeine Bar, attached to it. The primary purpose of Tenacity Caffeine Bar is to provide coffees and healthy smoothies to our gym members and create a warm, welcoming environment where members can relax and chat before or after a workout. We are also open to the general public. The role of Barista and Customer Engagement Specialist is to run Tenacity Caffeine Bar and engage with our customers in a friendly and welcoming way to continue the culture and ethos at Tenacity - a place where people become the fittest, strongest, healthiest and happiest version of themselves. The Barista and Customer Engagement Specialist is critical role, contributing to the positive experience of all members by providing excellent customer service, taking care to make the best coffees and smoothies, keeping the café clean and tidy, replenishing stock when required, and being confident and capable to answer any questions members have about other Tenacity services. In addition, the Barista and Customer Engagement Specialist will engage with customers through our social media channels by being responsible for developing fun and engaging content that makes our members proud to be part of the Tenacity crew.

This position has enormous scope to further develop and expand the role to include Tenacity Fitness administration tasks, such as supporting the onboarding of new members, managing communication to members, managing social media accounts, sending thank you notes to members, making website updates, managing the online booking system and more This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career during an exciting growth phase at Tenacity Fitness. Hours worked to increase as required with the addition of further duties and responsibilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- barista/hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent verbal communication to make sure all customers feel welcome and attended to

**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Making coffees and smoothies
- General cleaning of the café
- Descaling and thoroughly cleaning the coffee machine once per week
- Taking orders and ensuring payment is received
- Weekly stock takes and stock ordering
- Communication with owners and staff to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Excellent customer service is vital Must be passionate about creating positive experiences for all customers
- Be a Tenacity Fitness ambassador Train at the gym and be confident talking to customers about the full suite of Tenacity services and how others can join.
- Assist with some social media (post at least one story or post per day on the Tenacity social media accounts). Scope for this role to grow with more hours available
- Contribute to a growing team by sharing your ideas for improvement with the owners

**HOURS OF WORK**:

- Casual
- Monday to Thursday, 6.30am - 9.30am
- Friday, 6:30am - 10:00am
- Occasional Saturdays, from 7.30am - 10.30am, may be required
- Opportunity to develop your role to include gym administration tasks and take on more responsibility and hours

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
