OverviewThere is an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to support our services at Wimborne Victoria Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical ward based environment and in non-clinical areas throughout the main hospital, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained.
Full on-site training is provided and PPE provision is included.This post is 14 hours per week.
1800-2100 (times can be adjusted, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday).
This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company, from November 2025 or later.
The NHS wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer as well as new staff it recruits itself.Main dutiesSupport the Facilities Supervisor in their role and ensure that the standard of cleanliness within the Trust is implemented and maintained.Vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, emptying bins, and use of mechanical floor cleaning machines.Work as part of a team with a flexible approach, good communication skills, and the ability to use your own initiative.All vacancies offer an opportunity to work extra hours to cover sickness and staff holidays.Requirements and benefitsGood pay rates and 27 days annual leave per year to start, plus Bank Holidays and weekend enhancements if required.Employment requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust will cover the cost.
